Highpoint Market. These two little words have no significance to a regular person, but to an interior designer it means that you’re about to experience one of the greatest things in life. At least that’s how it felt to me. Highpoint Market and NEOCon are the two largest gathering places for the design community. I had the opportunity to go to the spring Highpoint Market with my work earlier this year and, ohmygoodness, it was an experience I’ll never forget. The best way to describe it is that it’s the interior design Mecca. Hundreds of thousands of designers come from all over the world and they discover new brands, make new connections, and learn about what trends are going to be hot in the coming year. You’ve probably already noticed that some of these trends have started to make their way to the marketplace, but here are some ideas to give you a head start and make them your own!
This classic design is back! I cannot express to you how many different manufacturers of furniture, accessories, lighting, etc. are jumping on this bandwagon. And rightfully so. This is a timeless design that includes sleek lines and neutral hues, and it’s so easy to transition into existing décor.

I’m obsessed with this design style! This is the perfect merge of masculine and feminine décor that includes the blending of urban edginess and a multitude of textures. This can be used as an entire design motif or accented in spaces of your home, either way you can’t go wrong!

I’m sure you’ve seen the reclaimed wood and pipe shelves everywhere, and for good reason; they are so, so chic! Check out an incredible tutorial here!
When I tell you that I want this as every light fixture in my home, I could not be more sincere. Ok, that may be a little too extreme, but I am completely in love. This is perfect as a statement piece in any room and I’m already planning to install something like it over my dining table!
Like it? Make it! Find an depth and extremely helpful tutorial here!
These accessories are so incredibly chic and versatile! As a child I loved searching for and collecting gemstones. They were the subjects of many science fairs in which I knew far too many types and classifications for a 3rd grader. Nerd alert. But now as a designer I love the fact that they can be incorporated into my décor and give it a sense of sophistication.
Unfortunately, as amazing as all these pieces are, buying them would make my bank account not so amazing. Thankfully there’s an alternative option here!
