Welcome to this month’s Three Things Thursday where I share with you 3 monthly favorites that I’ve been loving lately. Missed last month’s? Check it out here.
First things first, 2 of these favorites were birthday presents from Mama Fox, so a HUGE thank you to her! I love them and have used them soooo much!
1. SteamMachine Multi-Purpose Power Steamer: HomeRight
A couple of months ago, Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof wrote a post about she cleaned her entire kitchen with one thing. I was intrigued. Because that sounded freaking awesome. The “one thing” was steam. More importantly, the SteamMachine from HomeRight. And, yes, I now can also clean my kitchen with one thing. I try to keep my house as clean as I can, but renovations and DIY projects happen, and paint drips, and so on. But this little machine does it all! It can clean the floor (mine needed it), remove dirt and grime (I’d show you before and after pictures of my sink but the before picture would scare you away!), and even remove wallpaper (thankfully I don’t have any but if I did I could remove it!). It’s definitely worth the investment!
2. Studio Lighting Kit: Limo Studio
As most of you know, I have a full time job. It steals all of the daylight hours from me, and I’m left to work on the blog and projects at night. It’s not a problem, except I will never have natural light to photograph my finished projects in. I can edit the images for hours, and they’ll still look nice, but it would just be so much easier if I had natural light! That’s where the light kit comes in! If I use these babies, it’s like I’m photographing things in daylight. If you’re a blogger, and struggle to capture your projects in daylight, I’d highly recommend investing in this!
3. Tysen Quilted Riding Boots: Payless
It’s fall time! And that means it’s boot-wearing time! Boots are, by far, my favorite type of shoe. But it’s really hard for me to find ones that fit me just right, because I have really muscular calves. Even some “wide calf” brands don’t fit. So basically, when I find a pair of boots that fit me, I buy it in every color. And that’s exactly what I did with these! They came in black and tan, and I was absolutely smitten. They fit extremely well, and they’re actually a little loose so I don’t have to squeeze my calves into them. If you’re like me and have trouble finding boots that fit just right, check these out!

I’ve been thinking about getting a lighting kit for my blog photography. It gets dark so early in winter here in Seattle, and even in the daylight it’s usually rainy! That’s something to put on the Christmas list!

I also have issues with light. Our place is just too dark and I don’t have room outside (with privacy and safety) for my shots.

I totally get that. Even on my days off where I could be in the natural light, I’d rather not be outside. This kit was such a great investment!

That lighting kit looks cool! I usually end up photographing early in the morning and now it is staying dark longer. Love the boots too, I am so ready to wear boots!
