Thanksgiving is THURSDAY! Ahh! I’m so excited to be going home and spending time with family. It’s the first year (EVER) that my mom and I are hosting. It will be quite interesting!
Even though I won’t be home, that doesn’t mean that I can’t put up a little Thanksgiving decor. I’ve seen different things to show what you’re thankful for, like this tree and these placemats. I loved the idea, but I wanted create my own spin on it. I thought the idea of creating a “photo gallery” would be a fun way to display them!
Supply List
- thankful banner
- scissors
- jute
- square pictures
- off white cardstock (8.5 x 11)
- washi tape
- sharpie
- glue stick
Instructions
1. I created a “THANKFUL” banner with Thanksgiving colors that can be downloaded for free here, and cut them out.
2. Once they were cut out, I took the jute and strung up the letters.
3. I found some pictures of some of the items I’m thankful for, printed them out so they were in square form, and cut them out.
4. I took the cardstock and cut it into 4 equal parts. I then glued the pictures to the pieces of cardstock, leaving about 1/2″ on the left, top, and right.
5. Once they were dry, I took a sharpie and wrote what the items were that I was thankful for; family, friends, etc.
6. I took some jute and strung it up on the wall and attached the polaroids with washi tape.
7. Remember what you’re thankful for every day!
I like this so much that I may keep this up more than just Thanksgiving time! What are you thankful for?
