Hi friends,
Oh, I have been waiting and waiting for this post! Ever since I became a full-time Etsy shop owner, I’ve wanted a dedicated space to run my business. I decided that I would turn the sun room in my house into my studio, but my shop had been so busy (not complaining) that I didn’t have the time to give it the attention it deserved. I worked tirelessly to get orders filled ahead of time so I could have a couple weeks free to work on this!
Here’s a glimpse of what the room looked like before I started on it. It was just sort of used as a catch all room and had an unattractive rust orange painted on the walls.
I had a basic idea of what I wanted it to look like when I finished, so I drew up a floorplan to figure out where I’d put existing pieces I had and what else I needed to get.
If you want to see the full first steps in transforming this space, you can watch the video below or on my YouTube channel!
Using my original Honeycomb Wall tutorial and my favorite Wooster Brush, I created an accent wall with a dark teal-ish/navy paint.
This post and video is the first in a 4 part series and I’m so excited for you guys to see everything I do to this room! What else do you think my studio needs?

Love that you have your own space now, and even better that the walls are super cute! I’m going to use your idea to draw out a floorplan so I can get an idea of what my new craft room will look like.

First, congrats on your FT Etsy shop! It’ll be fun to see the finished studio. I already like the new color and accent wall.
