Hey friends,
As I mentioned last week, I’m not a huge celebrator of St. Patrick’s Day. Case in point, while the rest of Pittsburgh partied hard and got drunk during the parade on Saturday I went to the Home and Garden show with friends. #priorities
But if I was into celebrating it, I’d definitely throw a themed dinner party.
I’d start by creating a super cute St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape like Fonda did over at Southern Scraps. I love those glasses! Can you believe she found them at a thrift store for less than $1 each?!
My guests have arrived and they’re parched. Because the weather has warmed to the high 40s / mid 50s (yes, that’s considered warm here) I’ve decided to serve them these delicious Lime Sherbet Floats from Brandie over at Home Cooking Memories. I love this recipe because it’s different from the traditional Shamrock Shake recipes you see floating around. Plus the presentation is bomb.
While I’m finishing up dinner my guests are munching on this delicious Guinness and Cheddar Dip from Christina at But I’m Hungry. Awesome blog name, btw. But seriously, how good does this look? I’m not a beer person, but I’d eat all this dip by myself. #noshame
What’s more appropriate to serve on St. Patrick’s Day than corned beef and cabbage? Nothing. But it’s been done and my guests want something more inventive. This Corned Beef and Cabbage Casserole from Shannah at Just Us Four does the trick!
We’re stuffed, but there’s always room for dessert. I always have Lucky Charms in my pantry (because I’m a responsible adult) and everyone loves Rice Crispy Treats. Combining both to create Lucky Charms Treats is exactly what Crystal at A Pumpkin and A Princess did. And she’s a genius for it.
How are you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day?
