Christmas is in a week! Ah! Chances are, if you haven’t already, you’ll be headed to a holiday party soon or hosting one. Whether you’re playing host or guest, this should definitely be there!
If you’ve never tried “crack” bread before, first off, what are you doing with your life? Second, it’s called “crack” bread because it’s absolutely addicting. I’ve only ever made it in loaf form, so I thought I’d try it in pull apart form this time. To make it extra festive, I thought it would be fun to make it in the shape of a wreath. And, let’s be honest, it’s more delicious if it’s festive. :)
- 1 can of biscuit dough
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/2 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or whatever cheese you like)
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1 tomato slice for garnish (optional)
- 1. Preheat the oven based on your biscuit's package instructions.
- 2. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and put in a bowl. Set aside.
- 3. Place butter in a microwave safe bowl and melt it. Mix the ranch packet into the melted butter and drizzle over the dough. Mix well.
- 4. Once the biscuit pieces are coated with the butter mixture, begin placing them in a circle. I used my baking stone, but you could also use a wax papered baking sheet.
- 5. Sprinkle your cheese over the wreath form.
- 6. Bake for the amount of time your biscuit's package instructs, minus 2 minutes.
- 7. While that is baking, cut up your bacon into small pieces. Cook the bacon until nice and crispy, and drain from the grease.
- 8. Remove your bread wreath from the oven and sprinkle your bacon over the top. Return to the oven for 2 more minutes.
- 9. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 10. Cut up a slice of tomato and place into the shape of a ribbon at the top of the wreath.
- 11. Enjoy!
