Parlay Lounge

Hi friends,

Alright, I’m not gonna lie. I had a totally different post planned for today. But I am knee deep in kitchen demo and the project / tutorial I wanted to showcase today is just taking way to long to complete. Oh well. That’s what the weekends are for, right? It’ll fo’ sho’ make it’s debut sometime next week, once I can remove my upper cabinets…because I swear the previous owner put them up with nails, screws, and sorcery.

I promise this post is just as fun and exciting! Well, it is for me, anyways.

The project that I have so lovingly referred to as “my baby” is finally complete!

“What project is that?”, you may ask. Well, for the better part of two years I’ve been working on a bar & restaurant for the new Hyatt Place hotel in Washington, PA. It’s been a tedious endeavor, filled with long days of specifying products, drawings, and renderings for Hyatt’s approval.

This is the first Hyatt Place in existence to have a restaurant that’s separate from the hotel and I am so, so happy with the outcome and the feedback it’s received. I was able to go down this week and snap some pictures of the final product for you guys! So without further ado, I present the Parlay Lounge!

These are just a few of the images I was able to get while I was down there. I’m starting to put together a “portfolio” page to display previous and current projects I’m working on so I plan on sharing more (pictures, drawings, renderings, concepts, etc.) when that’s up and running.

What do you guys think?! While it definitely produced some frustrations the outcome it produced is better than I could’ve hoped for. If you’re local, be sure to go check it out!
