Do you ever fall in love with a color? It doesn’t even have to be your “favorite color” but you’ve seen so many different things in that shade and every time you do you smile? Well that’s how I’ve felt about this pale pink hue. I’ve always loved the color pink; even when I was going through my rebellious 14 year old phase I would pair black and pink because I thought it was “so hardcore.” Yes, I know, embarrassing. Let’s move on, shall we?
When I moved into my house I mentioned to my mother that I was looking at getting a cake stand and asked if she had seen anything nice in the stores. She told me she’d keep an eye out but if I wanted I could have my great grandmother’s cake stand from the 1930s. Yes, just so much yes, for 3 reasons. 1. My great grandma Elva and I were really close so of course I’d love to have something that was hers at one point. 2. I love the era of the 1920s and 30s and vintage things are always the best things. 3. It’s PINK!
Can we just appreciate the beauty of this for a second? It’s sleek, stylish, and like I said, pink! But it’s more of a “grown up pink.” Is that a thing? I’m making that a thing. I love this hue so much that I’ve decided to incorporate it into the color scheme of my new home. It’s so incredibly feminine and chic; the only problem is that I don’t have very many things in this shade. Thankfully, I’ve done a little online research and found some things that need to be purchased for my home ASAP.

I’ve already framed the print of the cat chewing bubblegum for my living room and how adorable is the jackalope jewelry dish? I love it so, so much and desperately want it for my vanity. And I have a lot of rings that need a home. Justification, right?
What do you think of this color that’s been so popular? Would you incorporate some of these things into your home? Have you found any other items that I should keep my eye out for? Let me know down below!

Your great-grandma would be so very proud of you and all that you have accomplished. It’s so neat that you are able to incorporate this lovely piece of your heritage into your new home!
