Hi friends!
The day is finally here! Today I get to show you my completed kitchen!
This surprisingly took longer than I had originally anticipated. Because my kitchen isn’t even half of the size of my living room, I figured it would take half of the time. No. I was wrong.
It really shouldn’t surprise me at how long it took. I mean, just look at where we started…
Gross.
Basic.
Standard.
Not Chelc at all.
So I changed that!
It’s sooooo much brighter, sleeker, chic-er, cleaner, prettier, Chelc-er! My over all goal was to make it brighter, and I think I succeeded. All of the finishes were either white, gray, or gold, and I brought in pops of color with some decor.
I feel like the space is so much more open and it feels bigger. At least to me. I love the floating shelves. Being able to see some of the “prettier” pieces of kitchenware that I have just makes me happy. :)
I do have a small cleaning station to the left of the stove, which has made my weekly cleaning schedule sooo much easier to complete. I did have to get a new Swiffer sweeper and wet jet because I lost mine after my old landlord decided that he was just going to throw it away. Because it’s not like it was useful or anything. And it’s not like I’m bitter about it or anything. ;)
Like I said, I took the upper cabinets down and replaced them with floating shelves. The cabinets were perfectly good, so there was no reason to get rid of them. So I repurposed them! The top one holds my tupperware, mugs, and tumblers (and I have wayyyy to many of them) ,and the bottom is extra pantry storage.
Next to the cabinets I got a small white bookshelf to store small appliances that I use frequently, my pampered chef cookware, and my very professional fox lunchbox. ;) On the top I have my knife block (that I kind of want to makeover), cutting boards, and my iPad where I normally read about a new recipe that I want to try out. Like my smoothie bowl recipe! #ShamelessSelfPromotion

I’m so happy that this project is finally done! I can now cook in a completed and beautiful kitchen!
Thanks so much for coming on my kitchen tour!

I love the remodel!!! so nice, and I love how you’ve incorporated more space by using the window. Is this part of your house or an apartment? I would hate to leave such a gorgeous kitchen.

Your kitchen looks great! Such a transformation. The floating shelves are my favorite part! And that was so smart to reuse the cabinets that you took down.

Thank you so much, Emily! I couldn’t justify just throwing those cabinets away so I knew I had to re-purpose them somehow!
