Hi friends.
Happy December! Can you believe that Christmas is less than 3 weeks away? Craziness! With moving last year I didn’t do a ton of Christmas decorating since most of my stuff was still in storage, but I may or may not have gotten all of my Christmas decor out over the summer. Over preparedness is a good thing, right? ;)
Since I put up these shelves to act as my faux mantel for my fall vignette and I loved the look of it, I decided to show yinz how I created my pastel Christmas vignette.
First things first, you should know that my style of Christmas decor is a mixture of pastels & metallics with anything geometric. These multi-faceted winter animals, like so much of my decor, is from Target. There was also a fox one, but I waited too long and missed out. Two years later and I’m still devastated.
One thing you should know, bottle brush trees are my weakness. Seriously, these aren’t even a third of my stash. A couple of years ago Target rolled out a line of fun colored decor that spoke directly to my soul and I pretty much bought all of it. And this little lilac nutcracker from Hobby Lobby fits right in guarding his forest.
After Christmas last year I picked up this mixed metallic snowflake wall art and I was super excited to add it in with my decor. And it lights up! I also added a Bath & Body Works Snowflakes & Citrus scented candle to tie in the different shades of teal.
Finally, two of my favorite decor pieces I put in my Christmas vignette are actually DIY projects! Be sure to check out the tutorials for my Wooden Dowel Christmas Tree & my Giant Snow Globe to learn how to make your own!
Are you guys all decorated for Christmas? What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
[…] past week I finished pulling out the rest of my Christmas decor and put together my pastel/metallic vignette. Check out how I styled it and don’t judge me from the amount of bottle brush trees I have. […]
