One thing that came with my new job was a new company dress code. Aka, no more jeans. Boo. :(
But the good thing that came out of this, I’ve gotten to create new, creative and unique outfit combinations that I had never thought of before. Yay! :)
One thing that’s really helped me do this is an app called StyleBook. Btw, I’m not in anyway sponsored by StyleBook, I just think they’re incredibly awesome and want to share their awesomeness with others. What you do is take pictures of your clothes, and then you create a virtual closet and outfits with your stuff. Pretty cool! Whenever I use it I feel like Cher in Clueless when she’s picking out her morning outfit and she’s scrolling through her closet. And if that’s not a good enough excuse to use it, then I don’t know what is. ;)
I wanted to put this capsule wardrobe together because 1. Fall (for me) begins September 1st and I’m more than ready for it! And 2. It’s been so fun for me to put together some fall outfits and I wanted to share them with you guys for some work appropriate “sweater weather” inspiration!
Are you guys as excited for fall as I am?! I’m definitely looking forward to wearing these outfits and incorporating them into my fall wardrobe. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, if a place existed where it was fall weather all the time and I could wear chunky knit sweaters and boots all year round, I’d move in a heartbeat. :)

I have been investigating capsule wardrobes. I need to do this. I have too many items that just don’t go together (hence too many clothes for my tiny closet).
Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).
Wishing you a lovely day.

I’m trying to clean out my closet and when I’m deciding if I should keep a piece or not, I try and imagine 3 ways I can wear it. If I can, it stays. If I can’t, bye bye! It’s helped me soooo much!

Cute outfits! I haven’t quite gotten my fall wardrobe together (it’s still in the 80-90 range here in VA) but I am looking forward to it! I’m impressed you limit yourself to one scarf, I can pare down my clothes, but scarves are another story!

Oh, I could always incorporate more scarves, but I tried to go with the one in my closet that would go with a ton of things. Hopefully it’s cooling down now!

I’m loving the idea of a capsule wardrobe. I’m moving into a home that was built in 1911 and the closets are so small compared to most houses being built today. It really lets me know how over-“stuffed” we are as a society. So it’s going to force me to be REALLY conscious about what I buy.

Even though I have a pretty big closet, I’m trying to downsize. Creating this capsule wardrobe has helped me do just that!

This is awesome. I always wanted to be Cher in Clueless so maybe I need that app just so I can stand in front of my closet and feel special! Great outfits too :)
