Surprise, surprise, I’m back with another gold spray painted DIY. #spraypaintALLTHETHINGSgold
When I wrote the post on my kitchen inspiration, I said that I really wanted to have the space organized. I’ve wanted a pot rack for the longest time, but I couldn’t justify spending the money. I’ve made do for a while, but my pots and pans needed to have a dedicated space.
Supply List
- 3/4″ x 2′ PVC pipe (1x)
- 3/4″ x 1/2″ PVC “T” fitting (2x)
- 1″ PVC bracket (4x)
- “S” hooks
- Gold Spray Paint
- Hack Saw
- Sandpaper / Sanding Sponge
- Screws (8x)
I measured the width of the space and drew it out with painter’s tape.
Attaching one “T” to the pipe, place the other “T” above the pipe where the end measurement is.
I drew a line where the “T” ended and another line where the pipe should be cut, about 1/4″ back.
Using a hack saw, cut off the end.
Lightly sand down the edge.
Yay, gold spray paint! Be sure to give a full layer on each of the PVC pieces and the “S” hooks. Let dry.
After the pieces were dry I attached the “T” pieces to the pipe and placed at the height I wanted. I attached the brackets and marked out where I needed to drill the holes. Pre-drill and screw in.
Organized pots and pans are a success! This DIY pot rack was actually a last minute idea that popped into my head but I really love how it turned out!

Found you through “That Friday Blog Hop” and I’m so glad I did because this idea is awesome! We have a small kitchen and cabinet space is prime real estate, so this idea could work really well for me. Thanks for sharing, I’m stumbling this so everyone can see it, too!

Thanks so much, Becca! Glad you stopped over! You’re right, I have very little cabinet space as well and couldn’t afford to give up the space. The window’s glass block so it’s not like it’s usable so it was the perfect solution!

Very clever idea! I wish I could put up a pot/pan rack in my kitchen. I have way too many pots/pans for my small space.
