Hi friends,
I am SO EXCITED for today’s post and video! Last summer my mom started a new job for an amazing company but it required her to work from home. We worked together to clear out a room that would work as her home office and had movers bring her heavy office furniture into the space, but then my mom left for a week of training in California so we couldn’t do much more together.
With her being gone for a week, I knew this was the perfect time to transform this room into the office of her dreams!
I started off by painting 3 of the walls a warm greige and then a navy as her accent wall. I rearranged the furniture into a more cohesive layout and added some décor (existing and new) to the room.
After I did all that, I felt something was missing from her accent wall. With her new job she would be holding lots of meetings with different schools (both virtually and in person) so I wanted her to have a way to organize important memos and dates. A DIY command center was just the thing to add and it was so easy to create with picture frames and an SVG file I designed that I cut out of vinyl. You can download it below if you want to create one for yourself.
My mom is the best person I know and she totally deserves to have the office of her dreams. I’m so happy I was able to create this room transformation and DIY command center for her.
Have you ever transformed a room for someone? Tell me about it in the comments!
