Hi friends,
So if you didn’t pick up a limited edition Cherry Blossom Frappuccino when they were available last month, boy, did you miss out! It was the absolute perfect drink for the beginning of Spring.
The Cherry Blossom Frappuccino has been around for about 6 years…but was only available in Japan. It’s inspired by the Japanese sakura traditon and celebrates the cherry blossom festival.
Like I said, it was limited edition, and I was totally bummed when I found that out. So I did a little research to find out what they put in it, and came up with my own copy cat recipe! I made mine lactose-free, but you can make it full of lactose if your heart desires! ;)
Ingredients
Makes Grande Size Cherry Blossom Frappuccino
- 3 medium / large strawberries
- 1 scoop lactose-free vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup soy milk
- 1 1/2 cup ice
- 1/8 tsp Xanthan Gum (optional – thickens frappuccino)
- non-dairy whipped cream
- matcha powder
Directions
- Blend together strawberries, ice cream, soy milk, ice, and Xanthan Gum in a blender until smooth.
- Sprinkle some matcha powder in the bottom and along the sides of your cup.
- Pour in the frappuccino mixture to the top of the cup.
- Top with whipped cream and matcha powder.
- Enjoy!

That’s it! Super simple, right? And it tastes so, so, sooooo good!
