Hi friends,
Welcome to this month’s Three Things Thursday where I share with you 3 monthly favorites that I’ve been loving lately. Missed last month’s? Check it out here.
1. The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up: Marie Kondo
This book has the word “magic” in the title, and let me just say, it is magical. I’ve heard countless bloggers and Youtubers talk about this book. In fact, a couple of my favorite bloggers are doing a decluttering series based on the konmari method. I’ve loved reading along on their journey. I’m not super far in (because I can NEVER find time to just sit down and read) but I’m already completely obsessed. I need to do a major cleanout of all my stuff. I’m 23 (almost 24!) and I have absolutely no idea how I’ve accumulated this much stuff. And I know there are quite a few things that I for sure don’t need. My thought process is “What if I need this 3 years from now?!” And that has to stop. Basically, the main point of this book (that I’ve taken away so far) is that if you hold an item in your hands, and it doesn’t “spark joy”, it needs to go. I’m really excited to do a huge overhaul and say goodbye to a TON of stuff. This is also an advertisement for the HUGE yardsale I’ll have when I’m finished. ;)
2. Wet Skin Moisturizer with Green Tea Oil: Jergens
This lotion. Oh. My. Gosh. I have extremely dry skin. And with the fall season here and the winter season approaching, it’s just gonna get worse. I saw this talked about in Morning Routine Life Hack video, kept the idea in the back of my mind, but didn’t really think much about it. I was shopping in Target one day (of course I was) and I saw it on an end cap. I’m always hesitant when a lotion product promises to “lock in the moisture.” Because it rarely works. But this was a decent price and it smelled amazing, so I thought I’d give it a go. It. Is. Fantastic! What makes this lotion different from others is that you apply it right after you get out of the shower, while you’re still wet, before you dry off. Apply it, rub it into you’re skin, and pat with a towel to dry. And it works! My skin actually stays hydrated throughout the whole day! If you have dry skin and haven’t found a product that works for you yet, try this! Seriously. It’s amazeballs.
3. Enlighten Eyeshadow Palette: Pacifica
I’ve actually had this palette for a while, used it a bit when I first purchased it, but then never touched it again. Until recently. This has been my go to makeup look basically the entire month of September. The colors are Skinny Dip, Coral Sand, Golden, and Urchin. I take Skinny Dip and apply it all over my lid and then apply Urchin with a fluffy brush in my crease. It takes about a minute and is perfect for when I’m running late.
What are some things you’ve been lovely lately? Let me know below!

I really liked Mary Kondo’s book as well. It has totally changed the way I think not only about the material things in my life, but even experiences and people I encounter.
Those Pacifica palette colors are so gorgeous!
