Hi friends,

I am super duper excited to show you my living room tour on Thursday! In preparation of that, I wanted to put together a round up of the things I’ve DIYed for this space.

I am still just as excited about this project now as I was on the day I created it. I’m slightly completely obsessed with anything hexagon/honeycomb. Like, for reals. Really anything with a geometric pattern. It’s the “theme” throughout my house. And all of the colors are ones used in my color scheme so it really helps with the flow of the downstairs to upstairs.

I’ve had to come up with some creative storage solutions for all of my stuff. Because somehow, in my 23 years of life, I have acquired a bunch of it. Because a lot of things have to be stored out in the open, I at least want it to look nice and semi organized. One of the biggest problems I had was no place to put my coats, scarves, and shoes. I also needed a solution that wouldn’t completely cover up my accent wall. This has completely worked like a charm!

And on the 7th month of living here, Chelc said “Let there finally be light!” I wanted some pendants for over my built in bookshelves but couldn’t find anything that suited my style. So I decided to DIY it! You’ll never believe what I used for my pendant’s lamp shade!

I picked up this table for $10 when I was in college. Even though I didn’t need it, I couldn’t pass it up. Now, after moving 3 times, it finally got the makeover it deserved. Now to decide what to store underneath it…

 Like the coffee table, I’ve had these bad boys for a while. But now that they’re in a permanent location I knew I had to give them a makeover as well. Now they serve their purpose and they’re chic and stylish!

  7. Wow, you have a GREAT sense for decorating! I love the accent wall, the coffee table, and the numbered crate storage is really cool! I love that feeling when you finish a project and finally get to see it all together. And when it’s a room like this, you get to sit it in and enjoy a cup of coffee! Beautiful job!
