Hi friends,
Have you ever gotten home from work, school, errands, etc. and just didn’t have the motivation to spend the time and effort to make a delicious dinner? Yeah, that’s me. Almost every day. #forreal
My mother very graciously got me a Deep Covered Baker from Pampered Chef for Christmas and I’m just gonna be honest, it’s the bomb dot com. Dinners are so, so easy to make with this thing! After I got it I hopped on over to Pinterest and looked up a bunch of yummy recipes. But this one. This one has been the best by far.
First off, who doesn’t love homemade mac ‘n’ cheese? Second, bacon makes everything better. #truefact
Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups milk (I like mine a little more creamy so I added an additional 1 cup)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (I used cheddar)
- 6 slices of bacon
Directions
- Combine the macaroni, chicken broth, and macaroni in the Deep Covered Baker. Stir well.
- Put the Baker in the microwave and cook on high for 14 minutes.
- While that is cooking, fry up your bacon to your liking. I like mine really crispy. Cut up into small pieces and set aside.
- Remove the Baker from the microwave using oven mitts. Add the shredded cheese and bacon and let sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Serve it up and enjoy!
I’m serious, friends, this recipe is super yummy, super easy, and super fast. Definitely worth a try if you have a Deep Covered Baker!
Have any of you tried some Deep Covered Baker recipes? I’d love to experiment with more!
I’m linking up to these great parties!
