Hi friends,
I love decorating for different holidays, but definitely don’t go all out like I used to. As my preferences have grown with me, I find myself only putting out touches of items for that specific holiday that can still work with the rest of my decor. Except Christmas. Christmas decorations should burst out from every nook and cranny. #truefacts
I’m not a huge celebrator of St. Patrick’s Day, never really have been. Besides it’s my cat’s birthday and I’d much rather celebrate that because, yes, I am a future crazy cat lady. But I am a celebrator of cute and easy crafts like this one. How easy? Find out!
Supplies Needed
- Dollar Store Frame
- Cardstock (coordinated size to match frame)
- Gold Acrylic Paint
- Green Acrylic Paint
- 2 Paintbrushes
- Pencil (not shown)
- Ruler (not shown)
- Gold Spray Paint (not shown, optional)
I began by (lightly) making a 1″ x 1″ grid and marking the intersections. This is where your polka dots will go.
Erase the lines but keep your marked intersections.
Taking your gold acrylic paint, create small polka dots where marked. I left the bottom right open for my shamrock but you can place it where ever.
Using your green acrylic paint, create a small four leaf clover. The paint brush I used had a very pointy tip and it really helped to paint it the way I wanted.
While that was drying, I took my frame and spray painted it gold. I’m a bit obsessed with gold spray paint; evidence here and here.
See? Told you. Super easy. :)
